  «Classical Tour « for Jordan

Arrival Airport – Amman Hotel.

Day 1: Arrival Queen Alia Int’l Airport, Meet & Assist by Petra Tours representative through customs & passport control, transfer to hotel of choice, check in, dinner & overnight.

Amman – City Tour – Jerash – Ajloun- Amman.

Day 2: After breakfast, start with a city tour of Amman, visit Citadel, Amphitheatre, Archeological Museum, King Abdullah Mosque, old & modern part of Amman, continue to visit Jerash, the most preserved of the Roman civilization, then to Ajloun Castle, return to hotel in Amman, dinner & overnight.

Amman –Um Qais- Dead Sea – Amman.

Day 3: After breakfast, depart to visit Um Qais, or ancient «Gadara» Situated at an altitude of 1,700 feet, it command a magnificent view of the Sea of Galilee, the Yarmuk River Valley and the Golan Heights, and was famous for its hot springs. The visit will include the three theaters, a temple, a colonnaded street. Continue to Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, enjoy floating in the salted water, return to hotel in Amman, dinner & overnight.

Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Kerak – Petra.

Day 4: After breakfast, depart to Petra via King’s way, en route visit Madaba, the city of Mosaics [Medeba in the Bible]. Visit St. George Greek – Orthodox Church which shelters a famous 6^th century mosaic map featuring Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Less than 10 km away there is Mt. Nebo, the most reveal site in  Jordan and presumed burial site of prophet Moses that drew many pilgrims since immemorial times. Continue to Kerak Castle, was built in 1132 a.d. by Baudouin king of Jerusalem, on a strategic location on the caravan road linking Egypt to Syria, after fifty years of fighting and in spite of the five thousand christian knights defending it, it fell to Saladin in 1188. The fortress is a maze of galleries, arched chambers and fortified towers overlooking the valley of Wadi Mujib, 500 yards below. Arrive to Petra, check in at hotel of choice, dinner & overnight.

Full Day Tour of Red Rose City of Petra.

Day 5: After breakfast, start a full day tour of Petra, where visitors will explore one of the perhaps most stunning sites in the entire Middle East – the legendary  “Red – Rose» City of Petra carved out of craggy rocks by the Nabateans, an industrious Arab people, who settled in the South more than 2,000 years ago. Fortified behind a narrow, deep Siq [Gorge] that slowly winds through a massive rock wall, the majestic façade of the so-called ‘Treasury’ [Al-Kazneh] rises up with a breath taking view as you emerge into the sunlight. The Monastery [El Deir] and the High Place of the Sacrifice [Al Madbah] are among the myriad archeological wonders to be explored at Petra. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Petra.

Petra – Wadi Rum- Aqaba.

Day 6: After breakfast, depart to Wadi Rum, depart to Wadi Rum, start 2 hours 4x4 Bedouin Jeep tour, ‘vast, echoing and god like’ where guests will enjoy the splendid ‘7 Pillars of Wisdom’ the famous desert mountains so beautifully described by T.S. Lawrence, the legendary Lawrence of Arabia in his book. Continue to Aqaba, check in at hotel, dinner & overnight.

Aqaba – Free day at leisure.

Day 7: After breakfast, enjoy a free day at leisure on Aqaba beaches, dinner & o/n at hotel in Aqaba.

 Aqaba – Queen Alia Int’l Airport.

Day 8: After breakfast, departure transfer from Aqaba to Queen Alia Int’l Airport with full assistance.

Option A: 5* Regency Palace Amman, Movenpick Petra & Movenpick Aqaba hotel.

Option B: 4* Ramada hotel Amman, Panorama Petra hotel & Aqaba Gulf hotel,

Option C: 3* Arabela hotel Amman, Petra Palace hotel & Jordan Suites hotel Aqaba.

For Using Option A: please note the following:

There will be a reduction of USD 70 per person during Low Season, and a further reduction of USD 70 from single supplement. [1/12/09 – 23/12/09, 11/1/10– 19/2/10, and 11/6/10 – 31/7/10].

There will be a supplement of USD 20 per person during peak Season [ 1/11/09 – 15/11/09, 24/12/09 – 10/1/10, 20/3/10 – 15/4/10, 20/4/10 – 10/5/10, and 1/10/10 – 31/10/10 ]. And there will be a further supplement of USD 20 per person on single supplement.
